My Background

From the Bayous of Mississippi Cynette Applewhite has assisted many people in their healing process from Complex Trauma. Her calling was ordained as a teenager with the guidance of her great grandparents who introduced her to ancestral healing works. Cynette’s foundational perspective of holistic mental  health is that thoughts and breath are unseen influence therefore spiritual, so we must incorporate the spiritual aspect of our consciousness to being balance into one of our greatest internal resources, “our mind”. From this perspective she incorporates Indigenous and Western therapeutic modalities which re-sets the nervosa systems.

With over 15 years of experience Cynette specializes in Complex trauma and PTSD, intergenerational cycles, ancestral healing (Root Work), sexual trauma, depression, anxiety, stress management, ADHD, grief and loss. She has effectively assisted individuals, children, and their families in the greater Atlanta area. She facilitates group therapy sessions for girls, women, and men. Cynette works with all her clients from a therapeutic approach she created, entitled “Feminine based Therapy”. Therapy”.
